A couple weeks ago on the Alternative Idol Podcast we talked about the new release by Pikarin. Well, anyone that listened heard me completely butcher the name of this track, it is just so dang hard for me to say. Anyway, Pikarin gave us a great new video.
Terry (Ramenshuriken), Garry (Idol is SHiT) and John (Straight From Japan) are at it again, of course some knucklehead (me) forgot to plug in his headphones so, you know there is a bit of echoing at points, my bad. Still a pretty good show covering a variety of subjects.
In the news this week:
- NECRONOMIDOL to tour Europe this summer
- BABYMETAL drop a trailer for their Tokyo Dome Blu-ray
- An update on Pour Lui’s DiET or DiE challenge
- Information on new releases announced by Shiina Pikarin, Guso Drop and Malcolm Mask McLaren.
- A big discussion on the various disbandment and member departure announcements from Hauptharmonie, PiiiiiiiN, Gokigen Teikoku and more
We also share our thoughts on MVs from You’ll Melt More!, Uijin, Band Ja Naimon and Teddyloid feat. Aina the End.

As I am sure most of you know, everyone’s favorite demon princess, Pikarin, has not really been releasing music since 魔界心中 / MITSU TO BATSU back in May 2016 and the subsequent collapse of FORCE RECORDS. Yes, she did release a single, The Dogeza Road. exclusively through Village Vanguard, which most people don’t even know about. Other than that she has been pretty silent, musically speaking. Well, that is all changing.
Well just after the previous story I did something else caught my eye on the old YouTubes. Pikarin doing a show, but with a partner on stage. Interest piqued, I of course had to check it out. I will tell you something right now, this has to happen again…….. and again, because it is awesome. The second on stage as Shinozaki Kokoro, formerly of petit pas! This was all from 2016『魔界のえんそく〜ぴかりんとハロウィンに逝こう〜』 – Pikarin’s 2016 Halloween Show. I just wonder why it took so long for this to surface, or maybe I was completely oblivious the first time it showed up.
